Mature content now depends entirely on the birth date listed in your profile. It will automatically decide if you're above 18 and start displaying mature threads to you. These are highlighted yellow, so you can still avoid them if you'd rather.

Wow it's weird to be typing 2018... anyway, we have a new theme with some fancy stuff, but some of it is still broken. Also the email field for guests appears again, I'll fix it eventually.
Introducing Battle Suite 4.0 RC2

We now have a working version of an early write-up of Battle Suite 4.0 available for use. This system completely automates tabletop functions, and is very user-friendly.

Embers // Afterlife Fantasy

Welcome to the first day of your new life. Embers is an afterlife fantasy cyberpunk RPG, running since 2006, first under the name War Chain, and then under the name Tamashii no Chikai, originally as a Bleach RP. Some Bleach influence still remains, but it is all presented differently and features new elements. The recent 2016 reboot under the name Embers follows a very similar standard and focus that War Chain and Tamashii no Chikai did, and we hope Embers will grow into its own free of its fandom ties. Here's to 157,000 more posts!

Surprisingly, he is not a master of blinking, mostly because it makes him nauseous to do it.

Unlike most, Sahura tends to use offensive sorcery as a defensive manoeuvre, and instead of using barriers, he just fires offensive sorcery at offensive sorcery and lets them cancel each other out.

Every wound Sahura sustains that draws blood creates a small pile of sand proportionate to the amount of blood lost. Sahura can manipulate this sand, using hand movements to direct and control it. Given that there is enough of it, it can be used either as a weapon, or for defensive purposes. It causes burns when come into contact with.

So great is his control over his raw Force, Sahura can use it as a tangible defence technique. He does not usually use this in combat, instead using it in situations where multiple individuals are threatened, and a single defensive sorcery technique won't reach far enough.

Similar to his fire shield, Sahura can also compress his raw Force into a whip; because his force is naturally fire-aligned, it tends to be a whip of flame. This has a chance of leaving burns behind.

Sahura has so much Force in release, he can shape and harden it into the form of a bladed weapon. It is usually a dual-edge straight blade lacking a guard. The blades are gold, regardless of what hue his own force is at the time, and they burn rather than cut, albeit he can coat them with another layer of Force to make them cut, instead.

A replacement upgrade for Desher Nesew. Not only do blood-releasing wounds create deadly sand, it now creates more of it, and the sand is aflame. The burns caused are more serious than those released from Desher Nesew.

Capable of running great distances without getting winded, and usually pretty quickly, Sahura's probably one of the fastest members of Valkyrie.

An added ability tacked onto Desher Nesew, allowing Sahura to compress the sand into a more tangible form. The only known form the sand can compress into is that of sand jackals. They can sort of control themselves, but they aren't terribly smart. Sahura can command them, if he's enough presence of mind to do so.

Listen. Sahura never has to worry about whether he'll hit you or not. Chances are, he will. Offensive sorcery is his thing, albeit he tends to use his raw force instead, but in a sense that's a form of sorcery, too.

Leftover knowledge from Back in the Day, Sahura can handle bows, crossbows, javelins, and to some extent, firearms. He's not as good at the latter, but he can still figure them out enough to cause damage.

A replacement upgrade for Nehet Saew. The jackal forms he creates with Sa in Herep Shay are more intelligent and easier to command mentally; like the sand in Kemet, they are also aflame.

Each jackal created in Sa in Herep Shay gains the ability to combust at will, causing an explosion of flame with intense force behind it.

In sealed form, Shenura is a pair of matching gold bracers; just simple wrist cuff-style gold bands, very thick. Thick enough they go from his wrist to almost his elbows. In release, a curved golden blade pops out of the side of either bracer. In complete state, Shenura is a dual-head lance.

He tends to prefer decking things over dicing things or shooting things, and he's pretty good at decking things, to say the least.

Finding Losts
Being as Sahura pays probably way too much attention to what goes on in Sheol, he's been keeping half an eye on several seekers that he knows, at one time, were friends. One of these seekers happens to be Ciro Airaldi, formerly Varro, an ex-lover of Sahura's Lieutenant, and yes, they're reuniting right immediately now.
