New Year, New Theme!

Wow it's weird to be typing 2018... anyway, we have a new theme with some fancy stuff, but some of it is still broken. Also the email field for guests appears again, I'll fix it eventually.
Introducing Battle Suite 4.0 RC2

We now have a working version of an early write-up of Battle Suite 4.0 available for use. This system completely automates tabletop functions, and is very user-friendly.

Embers // Afterlife Fantasy

Welcome to the first day of your new life. Embers is an afterlife fantasy cyberpunk RPG, running since 2006, first under the name War Chain, and then under the name Tamashii no Chikai, originally as a Bleach RP. Some Bleach influence still remains, but it is all presented differently and features new elements. The recent 2016 reboot under the name Embers follows a very similar standard and focus that War Chain and Tamashii no Chikai did, and we hope Embers will grow into its own free of its fandom ties. Here's to 157,000 more posts!

Teleportation is weird, it doesn't make him sick or anything it just feels weird and he doesn't do it often. But in a pinch he CAN teleport behind you or... wherever he wants, really, as long as he knows where he's going.

He fought with daggers in life, mostly, and his Daemon is sealed into daggers as well, which means the skill serves him very well.

Alasdair does not use a lot of wall-type barriers unless he's seeking to protect someone else. But he does occasionally materialize barriers over his skin to help minimize damage he takes from an attack. He can do other things with this as well, of course.

Technically a subset of the main ability of Blazing Star. However, instead of the fire doesn't lead the strike, but instead coats the blade, heating it up and causing fire damage with the attack. This allows for a more concentrated burn and allows the burn damage to be extended deeper into the wound because the metal is also extremely hot.

This is a rather difficult technique which transforms the dagger into a whip of fire. Or, more accurately, it transforms the generated flames into a whip that wraps around the blade and extends for a decent length, to be used at a distance. It takes some coordination from Alasdair to use this successfully

Blazing Star's blade will generate flames with each strike, they tend to lead the attack so they burn and then the blade cuts. This is a standard attack with his released Daemon.

Alasdair has lived a long time and he got to be pretty powerful in the process. Somewhere in there he had to learn how to control his force so he didn't advertise to enemies where he was and also to give him strength in combat.

Good for dodging. Also good for getting out of dodge, so there's that! Okay, but seriously this is a force manipulation technique that allows him to move very very quickly when he so chooses.

His offensive sorcery tends to have a preference for fire elemental alignment, but he can change that as necessary. In Sheol you don't survive if you don't fight, so it's probably not surprising he's got some power behind him.
Stella Crinita

Upon release the blade of Stella Crinita lengthens somewhat - to about ten inches by itself, with an additional six inches for the hilt. Half of the length of the usually unsharpened side gains a razor sharp edge. The cap at the end of the hilt changes from a simple metal piece to an intricate wolf's head design. Pieces of what appear to be vulcan jade are set into the design for eyes.

As Stella Crinita changes, Alasdair gains bracers which extend from his wrist up to his elbow. The bracers are, for the most part, of the same material that makes up his mask, but they have flame patterns that swirl across the surface and glow when Alasdair is using the fire based skills of the Daemon.
