New Year, New Theme!
January 5, 2018
Wow it's weird to be typing 2018... anyway, we have a new theme with some fancy stuff, but some of it is still broken. Also the email field for guests appears again, I'll fix it eventually.
Introducing Battle Suite 4.0 RC2
October 24, 2017
We now have a working version of an early write-up of Battle Suite 4.0 available for use. This system completely automates tabletop functions, and is very user-friendly.

Embers // Afterlife Fantasy

Welcome to the first day of your new life. Embers is an afterlife fantasy cyberpunk RPG, running since 2006, first under the name War Chain, and then under the name Tamashii no Chikai, originally as a Bleach RP. Some Bleach influence still remains, but it is all presented differently and features new elements. The recent 2016 reboot under the name Embers follows a very similar standard and focus that War Chain and Tamashii no Chikai did, and we hope Embers will grow into its own free of its fandom ties. Here's to 157,000 more posts!
Mature themes, half the board is gay. Not recommended for bigots or individuals under 16 years of age. You must be 18 or older to gain access to the mature boards.

Probably one of the most enigmatic and somehow otherworldly beings in Valhalla, potentially anywhere, Kasaya is very difficult to pin down. She speaks, at times, in riddles, and is never entirely forthright. Rather, she gives just enough hint that you should be capable of puzzling out what she means on your own, and if you can't do that, well, that's not her problem, now is it? One couldn't call her friendly, however, as she is generally in a good mood, somewhat upbeat, and can lift spirits if she tries, but it's more of a softer, maternal friendliness. Kasaya isn't typically in your face with all the outgoing, she's more like a safe place to shelter from the rain for a bit. Everyone she meets is essentially mothered, but not necessarily overtly, which some may find to be a bit of a blessing, others more of an annoyance. Kasaya is, at least, very good at figuring out when she's not welcome, and removing herself from situations and places that she decidedly is not welcome in, but many have trouble having much issue with her.

No matter how long it's been since last you've spoken, even if you have never spoken at all, she has a way of making you feel like your presence was dearly missed, and that your presence now is a blessing of a form. Kasaya also has a habit of knowing things she shouldn't logically know, but she's fairly good about not being particularly obvious about it. Even though she is a bit of a loner, and prefers to watch rather than take part in things personally, she doesn't really ever give off the impression that someone bothering her is unwelcome. Rather the opposite, she seems to always be waiting for someone to do exactly that, and seems to look forward to it in some capacity.

Kasaya has a brilliant mind. While reserved, it is very clear early on that she's actually quite intelligent, she just sees no reason to flaunt it. She is, though, prone to outbursts of over-emotional episodes, and can become relatively confused from said emotional outbursts. She isn't the best at dealing with her feelings in healthy ways, but all things considered, she could be much worse. Some could potentially see her as a bit of a snob, as she doesn't actually go out of her way to interact with others, and prefers to wait for them to come to her, but she's not terribly arrogant, all things considered. Some may find her relatively intimidating, if only because she's very difficult to get a solid read on, as you never quite know what's going through her head, or how she's feeling. Most of the time, Kasaya's probably overlooked, or seen as that weird wallflower that never seems to have any interest in participating in anything.

Friends
If you can handle the essentially constant mothering, she's not a bad friend to have. Very supportive, and she usually has fairly sound advice for those that need it, she's more than happy to be the pillar of strength for those that need a little guidance. She does okay with those that need a patient and gentle hand, because Kasaya is rarely neither. She actually rather enjoys being a source of support for her friends, and isn't afraid to tell them what really needs to be said, rather than what they want to hear; she just may do it very gently.

However, as she's not really extroverted and more of a wallflower, you may have to talk to her first. Unless she really thinks you need her help.

Enemies
I don't imagine many people really think about her hard enough to consider themselves her enemy, but perhaps some friendly rivalries in the Thirteenth Division may be a possibility. She's an extremely skilled sorcery user, and I'm sure someone out there may want to someday be as good as her, if not surpass her. Just, be prepared for her to encourage this, rather than be annoyed about it or what have you. Kasaya likes to see people grow and learn, even if it's merely because they want to be better than someone else. (It's a goal at least, right?)

Lovers
I do not know that she is poly. She's bisexual, but leans very heavily toward men. Seems to have a thing for someone already. Or at least, she talks like she does, but never says any names, and when asked about it, just kind of smiles.

I don't imagine many people really think about her hard enough to consider themselves her enemy, but perhaps some friendly rivalries in the Kidoshu may be a possibility. She's an extremely skilled Kidou user, and I'm sure someone out there may want to someday be as good as her, if not surpass her.
